Bowel Management Bootcamp is a specialized, intensive program designed for children with colorectal and gastrointestinal issues, such as chronic constipation, fecal incontinence or complications from congenital conditions like anorectal malformation, Hirschsprung's Disease and spina bifida. The goal of this program is to help children achieve continence and improve their quality of life and confidence.
The program is held at CHRISTUS Children's at the Goldsbury Center, located on the first floor. It’s part of the Colorectal and Urogenital Program.
Families attend either morning or afternoon sessions, starting on a Friday, with follow-up visits the following Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. During the week, each child receives a personalized plan that may include medical interventions, dietary adjustments, medication management, and daily care routines tailored to their needs.
This hands-on clinic empowers families with the tools to manage bowel health at home — helping reduce hospital visits, improve daily function, and support each child’s long-term well-being.
