Service Request

Submit all service requests directly to library@christushealth.org for:

  • Access to full-text articles
  • Literature search using submitted MeSH Terms

CHRISTUS Associates may also submit a request form via the Information Services Portal. 

  • Click General Services > CHRISTUS Library Services
  • Complete form with as much information as possible and click "Submit"

Online Medical Literature Resources

UpToDate LogoUptoDate features advanced medical literature capabilities enabling queries and navigations in multiple languages. This online search engine conveniently synthesizes medical literature, incorporates the latest evidence, and provides specific graded recommendations for optimal patient care. It allows physicians and medical residents find reliable, evidence-based answers to clinical questions quickly and easily with online and mobile access options, while serving as a credible Clinical Decision Support tool.

UpToDate covers several thousand original topics covering internal medicine and all of its subspecialties, including primary care (adult), dermatology, emergency medicine (adult and pediatric), general surgery, neurology, obstetrics, gynecology and women’s health, pediatrics, psychiatry, and primary care sports medicine (adolescents and adults). It also features auto-complete to make searching faster. The searchable UpToDate graphics library includes more than 35,000 pictures, tables, illustrations, diagrams, algorithms, and videos.

PubMed CentralPubMed Central is a free full-text archive of biomedical and life sciences journal literature at the United States National Institutes of Health’s National Library of Medicine (NIH/NLM). In keeping with NLM’s legislative mandate to collect and preserve the biomedical literature, PubMed Central serves as a digital counterpart of NLM’s extensive print journal collection. Because PubMed Central has the capacity to store and cross reference data from diverse sources in a common format within a central repository, the users can quickly search the entire collection of full-text articles and locate all relevant material.
