Dr. Bassel Bali is a highly specialized pediatric neurosurgeon with specialty training in all areas of pediatric neurosurgery. He has expertise in a range of conditions including Chiari malformation, hydrocephalus, endoscopic neurosurgery, epilepsy surgery, tumor surgery (brain and spinal cord), spasticity treatment (Baclofen pump vs. Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy), and minimally invasive neurosurgery. Dr. Bali strives to implement a multidisciplinary approach while utilizing new technology to improve the survival and quality of life of his young patients.
Dr. Bali finds pediatric neurosurgery a rewarding field due to the wide range of techniques involved and the ability to provide care for a broad spectrum of neurosurgical conditions such as tumors, spinal abnormalities, traumatic injuries, movement disorders and seizure disorders. He is inspired by the motivation and spirit of the children he treats as they strive to get better and improve.
Dr. Bali enjoys spending time with his young patients and their families. He believes that building positive relationships with them is critical to achieving the best possible treatment outcomes.
Dr. Bali's hobbies include tennis, basketball, watching movies and reading.

Even though I left our appointment very disappointed in how I was treated by the doctor, I was very impressed with his knowledge and medical expertise. I don't question his education and would assume he is a skilled doctor. Sometimes it seems we have to take the good with the bad.
