CHRISTUS Health now has a new endocrinology clinic expanding access to specialized care and support for southeast Texas.
The new endocrinology clinic is located inside CHRISTUS Health Park Medical I at 3030 North Street, Suite 560, in Beaumont. The clinic features 15 exam rooms and will be staffed by one endocrinologist and two nurse practitioners.
“This clinic is an opportunity for CHRISTUS Health to provide access to specialized, personalized and compassionate endocrinology care in southeast Texas,” said Dr. Jose M. Ortiz, endocrinologist for CHRISTUS Health. “We’re here to make common health issues easier to manage, using education and technology to help patients feel confident, in control and able to live healthy and fulfilling lives.”
The clinic will provide treatment and management for a wide range of conditions, including diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, lipid disorders, polycystic ovarian syndrome and disorders of the pituitary and adrenal glands. Bone density scans are also offered onsite.
The clinic places a strong focus on patient education and lifestyle support, Ortiz said.
“Our team is dedicated to walking with patients on every step of their journey,” he said. “Managing an endocrine disorder isn’t just about medication, it’s about understanding your body and building long-lasting, healthier habits.”
The new clinic reflects CHRISTUS Health’s ongoing investment in the southeast Texas region. Over the past several years, CHRISTUS has expanded access to care by opening new specialty clinics and increasing physician recruitment to meet the needs of a growing community.
“Our community deserves the very best, and we’re proud to bring expanded access to specialty care close to home,” said Paul Trevino, president and CEO of CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Health System. “This clinic represents our continued commitment to meet the health and wellness needs of southeast Texas.”
